Lorrie Herman has a BS degree in design and a minor in art history. She worked professionally as a graphic designer when she graduated college and for the last 17 years she’s been honing her skills as a professional artist, such as, art management, sales, installation, instructing, marketing and even painting! She continues her art education by taking workshops with local and international artists in both watercolor and oils. She also goes out plein air painting with several local art groups and friends on a regular basis. Her paintings can be found in public and private collections. Her paintings are inspired by nature, mostly landscapes, florals, some still lifes and working on portraits.
One job of an artist is to stop the viewer for a moment and provide something interesting to ponder.
