I’m a New Orleans native who recently moved to NOVA. I’m loving discovering this area and all that it has to offer. I live in Leesburg, VA with my two kids and husband where I make art full time from a home studio. My art is about the human experience. I create visuals for matters of the heart using a combination of sculpture and paint applied in traditional and new methods. The list of materials I work with is as eclectic as life itself: found objects, polymer clay, woodwork, acrylic paint, even discarded bits and pieces find their way into my art.
This is about self love, healing from a broken heart. It’s what happens when you’ve learned how to heal without falling apart. You know what you need to do, give yourself time and space to get strong again without closing yourself off from the world. The process of healing puts us in a vulnerable state. The heart with fresh growth encased in delicate glass is a way to show that. The heart is protected enough to flourish but still vulnerable.
