"Palm Beach Night" is part of a series of Acrylic/Gouache on found cardboard paintings I have been doing. I like the freedom (and environmental responsibility) the medium and surface offers to me - with the cardboard lending texture to the paintings. I paint 3 layers - a 1st coat that structures and composes the painting, a second coat that layers in shapes and detail, and a third coat (which is really multiple sittings with the paintings) that adds detail and texture. The painting is framed with recycled barnwood.
