A native of the Washington area, Pat Whittle is an emerging artist based in Loudoun County, Virginia. Her most recent paintings range from imaginative, intensely colored landscapes to more realistic renderings of nature. Pat loves the layers in a landscape and is particularly drawn to the rolling hills of Virginia and the many distant views available. She has created works in both oil and acrylic. More than anything, she is looking forward to further explorations and expanding her body of work.
This is a landscape of one of the many spectacular views from Hillsboro winery. Started en plein air during an outing with the Loudoun Sketch Club, it was later finished in the studio.
