I'm a Loudoun County native, and I grew up with a love for art that was fostered by my parents. I would spend hours in my room drawing and entered art contests as a teenager. After a hiatus lasting through college, marriage, and the birth of my three children, I have resumed my artistic practice. I'm a self taught artist, and I love contrast, color, light and movement and finds inspiration in nature and the human figure. I work in acrylics, watercolor, graphite, and pen and ink and hope to learn oil painting as well. I hope to have the opportunity to study art formally in the future.
This piece is inspired by the changeability of the coastal marshes and the movement of the sky and water.
